Who Is SPS?
SPS is a family-owned Texas company based in Pattison, TX. For the past twelve years, we've built our business around steel pipe — buying, selling, repurposing, and recycling material for customers ranging from Texas ranchers to national construction firms to oil and gas operations onshore and offshore.
At our core, we're problem-solvers and big on relationships. We move tons of steel while finding creative ways to add value and increase efficiencies. Our business has always been about connecting people with solutions and building lasting relationships in the process.
How We Came To Know Manna House
Manna House is a non-profit 501(c)(3) located in Brookshire, TX that exists to give men who are struggling with addiction a safe place to be fully recovered and restored to an abundant life of sobriety in Christ. Their vision is that these men would be set free from their addictions, set apart in their own unique identity in Christ, and set on fire to serve Him for the rest of their lives.
Our introduction to Manna House came through a company friend with more than twenty years of volunteer service to their mission. Through that connection, we were introduced to the ministry and quickly recognized that its mission aligned with ours: to see the lives of men, families, and communities transformed.
SPS has since supported Manna House financially and personally. Our team has invested time — mentoring, discipling, planning events, and simply walking alongside the men in the program. Today, supporting Manna House isn't the work of one person at SPS. It's something our entire team believes in.
What We’ve Seen
We've had a front-row seat to what happens when men are given structure, accountability, purpose, and hope. Manna House doesn't just talk about transformation. It happens there every day.
Our office sits only a few miles away, and we've watched what's happening in Brookshire up close. For years, this community has been undervalued, but we see it differently. We see opportunity. We see growth. We see people investing in solutions instead of talking about problems.
We believe there's a real need in our communities — and in this generation — for men to be restored, set free, and equipped to become the husbands, fathers, leaders, and community members they were created to be. When a man's life changes, the impact doesn't stop with him. His family benefits. His workplace benefits. His community benefits.
Manna House is creating lasting change at the local level, and we want to plant alongside them. As both Brookshire and Manna House continue to grow, we hope to remain long-term partners — through mentorship, job training, and eventually helping graduates step into meaningful employment. There's room in this work for others to plant alongside us as well.
The Impact
The most significant impact we've seen is restoration.
We've watched men rebuild their lives, reconnect with their families, develop a stronger sense of purpose, and become contributors to their community. We've also seen the ripple effect when those men return home healthier, stronger, and equipped to lead.
Through their New Start Program, Social Enterprises (Manna Bikes & The Awakening Coffee Shop), and their consistent presence in Brookshire, they're creating opportunities for men to gain skills, develop confidence, and build a foundation for long-term success.
The Challenge
Manna House is growing. Their next facility — Manna House 2.0 — is already in the works, with the foundation poured, giving the program room to reach more men.
SPS is stepping in with a matching gift challenge to help move the work forward. For every dollar given toward Manna House 2.0, SPS will match it, dollar-for-dollar, up to $200,000, before the close of 2026.
Manna House is a vetted, effective ministry making measurable impact on men, families, and the broader community. They operate with integrity, steward resources wisely, and stay focused on the mission. They're boots on the ground, doing the work every day.
